My sister Kay, who now lives in Bismarck, ND, and her family came to spend the weekend with us!  This was their first time seeing Addison.  We spent Friday tie-dying T-shirts; at the pool (Even if Addison doesn’t really like the water she did enjoy the new slushy machine at the pool!  As you can see it was cherry flavor.  We’ll keep bribing her, someday she might like the water!); and exploring for “seashells” around the pond.  Mabel and Emma found four treasures that we put in a ziplock bag.  They also found a robin’s egg, but they tried to see if it would float in the pond – that didn’t make it in the baggie.  Kay and Brian ended their night sitting down by the water in peace.  I thought this picture of Emma was great! 

On Saturday we picked up one of Jen’s past students to go to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum.  Uncle Jared and Cousin Kyla also came over from Fairmont.  The kids enjoyed the museum, picking out a bonnet, sitting in a covered wagon, taking pictures, and being locked in the Walnut Grove jail.  Jen, Addison and I had to leave early and put Addison down for a nap, but the others ventured over to the park and enjoyed the festivities.  I think that Emma is going to come back next year and be in the Nellie look-a-like contest!  While they were gone Henry got another workout from Uncle Jared. We then got back we went back into the pool until the Fragments of a Dream Pageant. 

As you can tell Mabel and Addison kept in very close contact on Saturday.  I think that Addison gave Mabel many tours of the house, and pointed to every picture of herself.

On Sunday we went to “Adoption Day” at the Metro Dome.  The Twins played the Chicago White Soxs, and won 13 to 7.  It was a very exciting game, and Addison did such a super job cheering on the Twins.  It was fun to watch her get excited when the crowd cheered.  She cheered right along with them.  I think that we have a sports fan on our hands.  She did pitter out in the top of the 6^th inning.  She slept through 2 more homeruns and a loud thunderous cheer at the end of the game.  On Sundays at the dome all kids are able to run the bases, basically go down on the field.  Since we rode the train from the Mall of America we decided to stick around and let all the other fans ride the cramped train first!  It turned out to be a beautiful day!
