Sunday was Addison’s baptism.  We had it at our house, outside, down by the pond; Jen’s Great Uncle Don preformed the ceremony.  Addison did such a nice job all day!   Of course, as Addison’s Dad I thought she was beautiful!  We were blessed to be able to share this day with many family members.

Henry – or should I say Beaver as we know him (as he choose to chew down a 7 foot tall maple tree in our front yard) has many names in our house these days, such as "Beast", "I wish you didn't shed so much Harry" among others.  He enjoyed the baptism too!  We kept him in the garage until the ceremony was over.  Cooper was able to be with us, but we thought Henry would be way too curious, or would drop a bottle by us wanting us to throw it for him.  After Dinner Jen’s dad and Nathan took pity on him and indulged him in a game of fetch.  These pictures capture Henry’s personality to a tee!

Pastor Don on the left, Jen's grandpa Bernie on the right.  Can you tell they're brothers?!?

Paul and Lacey, Addison's God-Parents.

Great Gandparents.

My parent's - Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Cathy.
Jen's parents - Grandpa Denny and Grandma Linda.
Jen's brother and his family - uncle Jay, aunt Sheila, cousins Nathan and Elizabeth.
My brother - uncle Jared and cousin Kyla.

On the 4th we moved Addison’s swing set from Jen’s grandparent’s house.  The swing set used to be Jen’s when she was growing up – her grandpa made it for her.  Now Addison will be able to enjoy it, and learn to do death-defying flips off of it.  We also planted a baptismal tree in her honor; we hope that is grows into a beautiful shade tree!  We ended the night with a picnic.  It turned out to be a lovely day.  As you can see the corn is way past “Knee high by the fourth of July!”

Addison received a sweatshirt from Outland Renewable Energy – (outlandrenewable.com) – a company her grandpa Denny co-founded.  Hopefully this company will someday fund Addison’s college education.  Blow wind blow!

My first father’s day was wonderful.  I was supposed to work at the pool, but it decided to rain instead!  We went out to eat at the Red Rooster, the local truck stop in town.  Jen wanted to capture the day with a photo shoot; I think that the pictures turned out great!  I love being Addison’s dad!  It’s been an awesome four months with her.

We went to Okoboji, Iowa at the beginning of June.  It was Addison’s first time seeing Lacey and Paul.  It was a beautiful day, and we’re able to spend much of the day just relaxing.  It took Addison about 30 minutes to warm up to Lacey and Barb, but after she was comfortable Addison had a great time too.  Barb and Tom gave Addison a Burley as a gift.  We were very shocked!  Addison is slowing starting to like riding in it, but it’s going to take some time.  This past weekend Lacey rode in the Burley with her!  Paul had the honors of pulling both of them.  It was very comical – and yes, Lacey (26 years old) fit into it!  We ended our day with Lacey and Paul by taking Addison’s first boat ride and eating at the Warf.
